Mr. Motohisa is to be appointed as President and Representative Director upon the approval of annual general meeting of shareholders to be held on June 29, 2004, and the following resolution by the board of directors. This decision has been made based on the Company's commitment to re-establishing the top management personnel and further enhancing its operating franchise on a company-wide basis. Mr. Akira Kiyokawa, the current Representative Director and President, will resign from the position upon the completion of the annual general meeting of shareholders. Profile of Mr. Megumu Motohisa Mr. Motohisa will be joining the Company later this month from Matsui Securities, which he joined in April 1999 and has been a director since June 2000. At Matsui Securities, he held such positions as General Manager of Corporate Planning Department, Managing Director, and most recently, Senior Managing Director. Prior to joining Matsui Securities, he worked for Sumitomo Marine & Fire Insurance, and Yamaichi Securities, where he worked for twelve years starting April 1986.
