Takefuji Corporation announced today that its marketing advertisement in newspapers will resume from June 4, 2004.

We have refrained from all marketing advertisement activities via mass media for 6 months since December 2003 to express our rigid attitude toward the responsibility for a series of incidents.

We have conveyed our sincere apologies to stakeholders including our customers on our web site as well as in newspapers via "A Few words of Apology" and announcement of "Takefuji's Future Management / Organizational Structure and Principle" for reconstruction of the Company on April 27, 2004. Furthermore, we have enhanced positive disclosure of information adopting our policy, "A Company Open to Society". In such circumstances, we have received warm encouragement by many supporters with regard to the reconstruction of the Company. We have decided to resume marketing advertisement activities in newspapers from June 2004, in addition to tissue distribution on the streets already re-launched on April 19, 2004.

We will make more efforts to improve customer services through the reinforcement of the "Customer First", one of its management principles.

We intend to dedicate ourselves to become a company widely trusted by the public both nominally and virtually by uniting all our staff as a whole.
