(Headquarters: Hakata-ku, Fukuoka-City; Representative Director: Shigemi Kudo), a company that is involved in the wholesale sale of cosmetics and beauty equipment. Under the agreement, a new co-branded credit card will be issued, and known as the "J-Beauty Club MasterCard®." A membership drive will be launched through JSC client cosmetics outlets and salons nationwide from December 25, 2004. 1. Aim    The Company has been focusing on issuing co-branded credit cards as a means of expanding its marketing channels to attract new customers. The alliance with JSC is part of such initiative.  JSC International Co., Ltd. sells to around 800 cosmetics outlets and salons for some 600 companies nationwide, and with the issuance of this co-branded card, will launch a new point service business for store and salon customers. By highlighting the additional service provided through the accumulation of points for goods purchased and the convenience of enabling credit card payment at cosmetics stores and salons where the unit prices of purchases are generally high, JSC will endeavor to expand the roster of member stores and to sign-up more cardholders. The aim is to sign up 400 stores and 15,000 cardholders in the first year, and to have 1,000 stores and 100,000 cardholders signed up in three years time. 2. Functions and benefit of J-Beauty MasterCard®   (1) Credit card functions     Credit functions at MasterCard participating stores Cash advance function Method of payment: Fixed amount revolving payment system, with lump-sum repayments possible. (Payments can be made through Takefuji ATMs or at convenience stores, etc.)   (2)Sign-up and annual membership fees     No sign-up fee No annual membership fees for life   (3)Loss or theft insurance system     Compensation for losses incurred through the loss or theft of cards.   (4)Point service function     Cardholders will be awarded points equivalent to 1% of their total shop (including consumption tax) when they pay by credit card at a J-Beauty Club participating outlet.(Points will not expire) Points can be exchanged for J-Beauty Club vouchers.
