 Takefuji Corporation ("the Company") announced that the change of Representative Director had been resolved at the Board of Directors held on March 11, 2005 as follows:

  1. Newly appointed Representative Director & President: Mr. Hikaru Kondo Profile of Mr. Hikaru Kondo:
    Mr. Kondo originally joined Takefuji Corporation in August 1975 and became Managing Director / Head of Business & Marketing Division in June 1998. Although he retired from the position of Managing Director in June 2001, rejoined the Company in February 2003 as Executive Officer in charge of both Advertising and Personal Departments. He had been Representative Director & Senior Managing Director in charge of Public Relations Dept., Personal Dept., Corporate Planning Dept., Legal Dept. and Examination Dept. since June 2004.

    Mr. Kondo graduated from Economics Department of Fuji College in 1975. He was born in Ehime Prefecture on August 6, 1951.

  3. Retired Representative Director: Mr. Megumu Motohisa
    Mr. Motohisa who was born on December 17, 1961, retired from the position of Representative Director & President as of March 11, 2005 for personal reasons.
