Takefuji Corporation ("the Company") is pleased to announce that it will introduce the environmentally-friendly "Eco Pocket Tissues" as part of its environmental preservation initiatives announced on February 3, 2005.

[Features of the Eco Pocket Tissues Compared with Conventional Products]
| 1. | Changes of printing ink used for package films from oil-based ink to water-based one |
| | Toluene is one of the causes of air pollution, and may have a negative impact on human health. By replacing it with a solvent of water and alcohol, Takefuji will improve the safety of products and make the colors brighter. While the printing of packaging materials with water-based ink has been adopted in food-related fields, this is the first time in the world for pocket tissues.
| 2. | Ten percent bagasse (the pulp remaining in sugar cane after its juice has been extracted) contained in pocket tissue materials |
| | After applying bagasse, the same touch as that with conventional products is ensured. This approach will help to protect forest resources.
| | The introduction of Eco Pocket Tissues reflects reviews of conventional products based on Takefuji's policy with respect to environmental preservation initiatives. It is also evidence of the Company's proactive approach to fulfilling its "National Obligation" as a corporate citizen in conformity with environmental laws such as Air Pollution Control Law to be introduced in April 2006.
| | The new pocket tissues with the Eco Pocket Tissues mark (trademark application filed) will be distributed at the Company's branch offices nationwide from late April.
| | Takefuji will continue to ensure safety and security for customers, and will strive to achieve specific measures that contribute to environmental preservation.
