<Voices from Takefuji BAMBOO : For the Final Round> |
 |
Coach: Akihisa Ishihara |
Though it was regrettable to say that we were not able to win at the last game of the regular round, we believe that it gave us a chance to reconfirm our conditions for piling continuous wins. All members of Takefuji BAMBOO intend to come into their perfect condition next week. At the first leg in Osaka as well as second leg for Grand Final in Tokyo like sudden death playoffs, we are focusing to the top place and fighting through all games with our best. I hope the brave figure of each player will remain in your heart deeply.

| The final round is about to start! The game in Osaka should be hard one that determines our position in the league for this 12th season. However, we will do our best and hopefully we will step into the second leg for Grand Final in Tokyo. We will never give up until all games are done! |

Takefuji BAMBOO
|
Takefuji BAMBOO was established in August 2001. The name "Takefuji BAMBOO" was named with the hope of 'growing to the sky without bending like a fresh green young bamboo". And Princess Kaguya*, the team's logo mark, is derived from the name of such young bamboo.
Takefuji BAMBOO has focused on social contribution activities in order to send "Dreams" and "Sensation" from local communities to all over Japan. As part of such activities, the team has cooperated on the sitting volleyball** team and given volleyball lessons to elementary school, high school students as well as adult volleyball circles.
* Princess Kaguya is featured in one of Japanese traditional old tales - Taketori. Baby Kaguya, who was originally sent from the moon world, was found in a bamboo tube and brought up by finders with lots of love.)
** Sitting volleyball: floor volleyball played by physically handicapped people |
